Role Description
This full-time, on-site role at Goodwill of North Georgia is based in Winder, GA. The team member will support daily retail store operations, including receiving and sorting donations, pricing and stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and backroom. The role includes providing respectful, helpful customer service, operating the cash register, and assisting donors and shoppers with questions and transactions. The individual may also help with basic inventory management, visual merchandising, and participation in mission-related activities such as supporting job training participants in the workplace. Collaboration with supervisors and coworkers to meet store goals and uphold Goodwill’s mission and values is expected.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic retail tasks, including handling cash, using a point-of-sale system, and stocking merchandise efficiently.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact courteously with donors, shoppers, and team members.
- Reliability and time management skills to follow schedules, meet productivity expectations, and support daily store operations.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting and moving donations, and organizing store areas safely.
- Commitment to Goodwill’s mission of helping people overcome employment barriers, with a respectful and inclusive approach to all individuals.
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify issues, follow procedures, and maintain quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior retail, warehouse, or customer service experience is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
