About This Role
This engineering role focuses on developing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Go (Golang) for a project with NEC Software UK. The position requires strong hands-on experience in Go programming, API development, cloud deployment, and relational databases, suitable for a candidate comfortable with the full development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Go (Golang)
- Build, integrate, and deploy REST APIs and production-ready services
- Develop new features and enhance existing applications
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications on cloud platforms
- Work with relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and query optimization
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code
- Perform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and production issue resolution
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience, with Go (Golang) as a primary programming language
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade Go services
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Understanding of software testing, debugging, code reviews, and coding best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Current location: Mumbai only
- Notice period: Immediate joiners only
- Must be available to join within 7 days
- Minimum 3 years in Go (Golang) development
Nice to have:
- Experience developing MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers
- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into applications
- Familiarity with AI-powered applications and integrations
