About This Role
Working as a Golang Developer, you will contribute to backend engineering and architecture, focusing on building and maintaining production-grade backend services. This role is for an experienced software engineer with a strong background in distributed systems and API design, who can also work with server-rendered frontend architectures and various databases.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production-grade backend services with Golang (Go)
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, including API contracts, versioning, and integration patterns
- Define service boundaries, establish architectural standards, and make sound technical decisions across complex enterprise platforms
- Design maintainable user interfaces without relying heavily on complex client-side frameworks
- Work with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and streaming data patterns
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineering teams to define reliable interfaces, data contracts, and service integration requirements
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, or equivalent technical leadership capacity
- Strong hands-on development experience with Golang (Go)
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, fault tolerance, and asynchronous processing
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL services
- Experience with HTMX and lightweight, server-rendered frontend architectures
- Understanding of server-driven UI patterns, minimal client-side JavaScript, and efficient frontend/backend integration
- Strong SQL development experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including document modeling and database integration
- Experience working with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and streaming data patterns
- Understanding of database performance, data consistency, and scalable data access patterns
- Working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable agent-tool integration patterns
- Understanding of how backend services, APIs, and enterprise data systems integrate with AI agents and AI/ML platforms
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows and the AI-Assisted Development Lifecycle (AIDLC)
- Ability to collaborate with AI/ML engineering teams to define reliable interfaces, data contracts, and service integration requirements
