General Manager A well-established seed organization is seeking a General Manager to lead operations in the near east-central South Dakota region .
The ideal candidate will bring a seed industry background and proven leadership experience, particularly supporting distribution and logistics functions. This organization is looking for a steady, people-focused leader who can maintain operational consistency, support existing processes, and align closely with company culture-rather than someone looking to make sweeping changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the location
- Support and optimize distribution and logistics operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop teams while fostering a positive workplace culture
- Ensure operational efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with leadership to support long-term business goals
Qualifications
- Seed industry experience required
- Proven leadership experience in operations, plant, or general management
- Background in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Hands-on, steady leadership style with a focus on cultural fit
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $80,000-$120,000
- Comprehensive benefits package
