About the role
STAND 8 provides end-to-end IT solutions and staffing services to enterprise partners across North America, with operational presence in Mexico supporting a wide range of technology, engineering, and business roles.
This role is responsible for ensuring that the Internal Control System (SCI) is adequate and operates effectively through a risk-based approach. The position verifies the effectiveness of processes and controls, the reliability of information, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. This role generates verifiable evidence, reports findings and action plans to leadership, manages the risk map, and supports ongoing business continuity planning.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the Internal Control System (SCI) is adequate and operates effectively.
- Verify, using a risk-based approach, the effectiveness of processes and controls, the reliability of information, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Generate verifiable evidence supporting control reviews, testing activities, findings, and corrective action plans.
- Report findings and action plans to leadership.
- Manage and maintain the risk map, evaluate its effectiveness, and monitor adherence testing across support and business areas in accordance with internal standards and current laws.
- Review, monitor, and maintain the Business Continuity Plan.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in internal control, audit, risk, or compliance in the financial sector.
- Knowledge of Internal Control Systems (SCI), process mapping, risk-control matrices, testing, document management, and IT controls.
- Strong communication skills in Spanish.
