About the role
The Department of Clinical Genetics of Fox Chase Cancer Center invites applications for a full-time Genetic Counselor Manager position. Our Risk Assessment Program was established in 1991 as one of the first in the nation to offer comprehensive services aimed at personalizing cancer risk estimation, prevention, and early diagnosis. In this newly created role, this individual will partner with departmental leadership to optimize our growing genetic counseling practice. The Genetic Counselor Manager will be responsible for hiring, retention, and development of the genetic counselors and genetic counseling assistants within the department. Also, provide genetic counseling services and care coordination to patients in the practice with ability to apply an expert application of knowledge and skills in complex situations. Leadership and Administrative responsibilities should account for 50% of overall effort.
Education
Master's Degree from an ABGC accredited Genetic Counseling program Required
Experience 8-10+ years experience as a cancer genetic counselor Required
10+ years experience with HIPAA and patient privacy practices Required
3 years experience in management of genetic counseling services Preferred
Licenses
Amer Bd of Genetic Counseling Required
PA Genetic Counselor License Required
