General Typist

About This Role

This role involves preparing, typing, formatting, and processing various documents and applications accurately and efficiently. The General Typist will join a typing center and be responsible for handling multiple customer requests while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Type and format documents, letters, applications, forms, and official correspondence
• Prepare online applications and government-related forms as required
• Enter customer information accurately into computer systems and online portals
• Assist customers with document preparation and typing requirements
• Check documents for spelling, grammar, formatting, and data-entry errors
• Scan, print, photocopy, upload, and organize documents
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and documents
• Handle multiple customer requests efficiently while meeting deadlines
• Perform other general administrative and typing-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous experience as a typist, data-entry operator, or typing-center staff is preferred
• Good typing speed with high accuracy
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, email, scanning, printing, and PDF-related tasks
• Good knowledge of English, Hindi
• Familiarity with online government portals and application systems is preferred
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Candidates with UAE typing-center experience will be preferred

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Arabic
