General Manager

About This Role

Leading a fast-casual restaurant and its team is the core of this general manager role, which involves overseeing operations, managing staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This position suits a passionate and experienced leader with a strong work ethic and a desire to mentor a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze your store’s P&L and decide a path to reach your cost goals
• Write a weekly staff schedule to achieve both people development and labor cost goals
• Set the tone for the shift and give clear, calm directions to your staff about their goals and duties
• Supervise and mentor your staff members and manage quality crew development, motivation, training, and evaluations
• Be an expert in Food Safety
• Master menu and product knowledge
• Prepare catering orders with your team
• Support or work stations when needed (kitchen included)
• Order products, supplies, and produce
• Screen, interview, and onboard hourly employees
• Handle cash and payment procedures properly
• Serve guests, making meaningful connections with them
• Maintain Health Department Standards throughout each shift
• Follow proper Alcohol Handling policies and procedures
• Ensure proper food handling and storage of food products
• Maintain proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance
• Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in your handbook)
• Obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age
• Minimum of 3 years of upper management experience
• Strong work ethic, desire to exceed guests’ expectations, and a real passion for fresh food
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Looking for the chance to build, develop, and mentor a team
• Enjoy the challenge of setting goals and hitting them
• Sufficient experience and knowledge of restaurant Profit and Loss statements
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and computer literacy
• Excellent leadership, customer service, and communication skills
• Ability to recruit, train, retain, and motivate quality employees
• Motivated, self-initiated, and team oriented
• Strong time management and organization skills
• Demonstrate sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Must have or obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment
