The General Dentist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing overall oral health needs of patients, including routine check-ups, restorative treatments, and preventive dental care. The role involves providing high-quality dental services in compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA ) regulations while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities-

Clinical Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as caries, gum disease, and infections.
• Conduct restorative and preventive procedures, including fillings, extractions, crowns, bridges, scaling, and polishing.
• Administer local anesthesia safely and effectively.
• Take, read, and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
• Manage dental emergencies promptly and efficiently.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records following DHA documentation standards.

Clinical Operations & Safety

• Ensure compliance with DHA infection control and sterilization protocols.
• Maintain and calibrate dental equipment in coordination with dental assistants.
• Monitor inventory and report supply needs to the clinic manager.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Patient Care & Communication

• Build strong relationships with patients through professional and empathetic communication.
• Deliver patient-centered care in a multicultural environment.
• Manage patient expectations and address concerns or complaints professionally.

Job Specification:

• Educational Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry (BDS / DDS / DMD) from a recognized institution or Western qualified.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a General Dentist in the UAE
• Sound knowledge of dental materials, procedures, and modern dental technologies.
• Proficiency in digital dental radiography and clinical software.
• Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Private dental clinic or hospital-based dental department.
• Standard working hours with potential evening or weekend shifts.
• Compliance with DHA, MOHAP, and UAE health and safety standards.
• Must be fluent in Arabic and English
• Work experience as an Endodontist is preferred
