General Counsel

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to leadership across all areas of the business
• Lead corporate governance, equity matters, financing transactions, and other strategic corporate initiatives
• Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including complex customer and vendor contracts
• Partner closely with sales, product, people, and operations teams to provide practical legal guidance that supports business growth
• Build scalable legal processes, contract templates, and playbooks to improve efficiency across the organization
• Advise on employment matters, policy development, and workforce-related compliance
• Oversee intellectual property strategy, portfolio management, and protection of company assets
• Manage outside counsel and provide guidance on regulatory, compliance, and risk management matters
• Support strategic transactions, partnerships, and potential M&A opportunities as the company continues to scale

Requirements

• J.D. and active U.S. bar membership
• 7+ years of legal experience, including meaningful in-house experience within a high-growth technology, SaaS, or software company
• Strong background supporting corporate governance, commercial transactions, and operational legal matters
• Experience negotiating enterprise customer agreements and complex commercial contracts
• Familiarity with data privacy and emerging technology regulations
• Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong business judgment with a practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal issues
• Experience partnering directly with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders
