GeneData Screener Specialist / Power User
Location: San Diego, CA/hybrid

Overview
We're looking for a candidate with deep, hands-on experience in GeneData Screener, ideally at a power user level or above, to join our Professional Services Consulting team. This person will support high throughput screening data workflows, including data analysis, curation, and reporting, for a pharmaceutical drug discovery organization. Strong candidates will have worked directly with assay data, dose response curves, and screening campaign management inside the Screener platform, not just adjacent tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot GeneData Screener workflows for HTS and dose response data
- Support scientists in analyzing, curating, and QC'ing screening data within Screener
- Build and customize reports, dashboards, and data views for assay teams
- Partner with lab automation and informatics teams to ensure clean data flow into and out of Screener
- Document standard operating procedures for Screener use across the team
- Provide training or informal mentorship to less experienced Screener users
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate recurring analysis tasks
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience with GeneData Screener, at power user level or higher
- Strong understanding of HTS data structures, dose response analysis, and assay data workflows
- Experience working in a pharma, biotech, or life sciences R&D environment
- Comfortable working with scientists to translate their needs into Screener configurations or reports
- Strong communication skills, since this role works closely with bench scientists and informatics teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GeneData Screener administration or configuration, not just end use
- Familiarity with adjacent informatics tools (ELN, LIMS, or compound management systems)
- Background in cheminformatics or bioinformatics
- Experience supporting drug discovery organizations specifically

- Prior consulting or client facing experience
- Experience training or supporting other Screener users
