About This Role
This engineering role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure primarily on Google Cloud Platform. The position suits a cloud engineer with strong hands-on experience in GCP, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, who is ready to contribute to continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on GCP
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and standardized reusable modules
- Deploy, configure, and operate containerized workloads on GKE
- Configure networking components, including VPCs, subnets, routes, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and DNS
- Implement IAM policies, security controls, governance standards, and compliance requirements
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, release, and deployment processes
- Monitor cloud environments and optimize performance, reliability, availability, and cost
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, network, platform, and application issues across environments
- Collaborate with application, security, architecture, and operations teams
- Support cloud migration, modernization, platform engineering, and automation initiatives
- Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge assets
- Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and engineering excellence
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related role
- Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform and enterprise cloud implementation practices
- Strong experience with Compute Engine, Virtual Private Cloud, Identity and Access Management, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, load balancing, and Cloud DNS
- Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, including reusable modules and secure state management
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools
- Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, governance, network controls, and least-privilege access
- Experience in monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support
- Knowledge of high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and resilient cloud architecture patterns
- Proficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting for automation and operational tooling
- Good understanding of Agile delivery and DevOps methodologies
