About the role

Duties
Prunes and trims trees and shrubs to obtain the shape, size, and desired growth and characteristics, and to remove diseased limbs/excess branches.
Cuts grass and trims hedges using either hand or power equipment.
Fertilizes, waters, and seeds turf areas, and removes rocks, leaves, trash and debris from landscaped areas.
Operates farm-type tractors with attached equipment such as rotary or flail mowers, augers, tillers, etc.
Knowledge of planting practices, landscaping capabilities and ability to adhere to seasonal schedules for optimum plant and vegetation care.

The Screen-Out element for this position is: The ability to perform the work of a WG-5003-05 Gardener without More than Normal Supervision.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must show that you possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) necessary to perform the duties of this position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirement emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience regardless of whether compensation was received or whether the experience was gained in a part-time or full-time occupation.
