About This Role
This game designer role acts as a technical reference in the conception and detailing of games, understanding director-defined guidelines and translating them into clear requirements, rules, mechanics, and information for the development team. The position supports project execution, clarifies doubts, and monitors delivery adherence to the established concept, without responsibility for people management or autonomous game strategy definition.
Responsibilities
- Understand game guidelines and concepts defined by the board of directors
- Translate demands into clear rules, flows, mechanics, scoring criteria, bonuses, awards, and gameplay for development teams
- Act as a connection point between leadership and technical teams, ensuring correct understanding of demands
- Detail requirements, functionalities, acceptance criteria, and other necessary information for game execution
- Organize and consolidate feedback, submitting questions, alternatives, and decision points to responsible leadership
- Monitor development and verify that deliveries adhere to the concept and received guidelines
- Provide technical support to teams during development, clarifying game rules, mechanics, and calculations
- Validate game math, bonuses, scoring systems, and awards with the math team
- Prepare prototypes, PAR Sheets, functional documents, flows, and game and market descriptions
- Create and maintain general and specific checklists for game validation
- Support the production of audio and other elements that make up the game experience
- Participate in IGS agile method ceremonies and routines, contributing to the detailing, monitoring, and validation of demands
Requirements
- Education or proven experience in game design, digital games, or game development or related fields
- Knowledge of Jira
- Knowledge of collaborative documentation tools
- Knowledge of tools for creating sketches, wireframes, mockups, or prototypes
- Knowledge of Office Suite
- Previous experience with digital game development, especially casino games
- Portfolio of games published on web, mobile, or embedded platforms
- Experience with embedded systems and Linux operating system
