A well-known multimedia company, based in Boston, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale world-class digital platforms that serve millions of users. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled full-stack engineer with deep expertise in Node.js, React, AWS, and modern cloud-native development practices , who thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-traffic customer-facing applications, influence technical architecture, and collaborate closely with Product, Data, and Marketing Technology teams. Beyond hands-on development, the successful candidate will help drive engineering excellence through mentorship, code quality initiatives, architectural leadership, and continuous improvement of development processes and platforms. Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of professional software development experience in a product-focused environment
- Expert-level proficiency with Node.js, and React
- Strong experience designing and building scalable, high-traffic web applications
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment
- Strong background in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and development
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Proven ability to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Strong testing discipline, including unit, integration, and automated testing
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs to diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting CMS platforms and content management integrations
- Exposure to subscription billing systems and payment platform integrations
- Knowledge of marketing technology (MarTech) ecosystems and customer engagement platforms
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging tools
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and cloud automation practices
- Experience designing event-driven or microservices-based architectures

Daily Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of complex, high-traffic features from concept through production deployment
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code across the full technology stack
- Conduct and lead code reviews to ensure engineering excellence and knowledge sharing
- Proactively identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and system reliability issues
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders to design scalable technical solutions
- Build and maintain integrations across CMS platforms, subscription systems, and MarTech tools
- Champion modern engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, and observability
