About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Developer to join Theodo GovTech, a specialized branch dedicated to serving public sector clients such as ministries, local authorities, and major public operators. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery and high quality of digital products that enhance public services. Your primary focus will be on complex system design, architecture, and code quality, working closely with client stakeholders to meet their needs effectively. You will lead and mentor a team of Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative environment through routines like code reviews and pair programming. Your role will involve managing client relationships, ensuring their satisfaction, and guiding your team towards technical excellence. Additionally, you will have opportunities for professional growth through various career paths, including becoming a senior architect, thought leader, or intrapreneur within the group.
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in software development
- At least 1 year of experience as a Tech Lead or equivalent role
- Proficiency in complex web concepts (front-end, back-end, databases, infrastructure, deployment, CI/CD, logs)
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- Strong interest in code quality and best practices
- Ability to design simple, scalable infrastructure architectures
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Bonus: Knowledge of public sector projects, accessibility standards, or experience working within the public sector
Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects, maintaining high standards of quality and adherence to deadlines
- Work on complex features and system design, ensuring their feasibility for development teams
- Guarantee the quality of architecture and code through methodologies like the 3S (Simplicity, Scalability, Sustainability) and routine code reviews
- Act as the primary contact for clients, maintaining ongoing communication to ensure their satisfaction
- Participate in routine meetings such as backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives with clients
- Lead, mentor, and support Software Engineers, fostering their professional development through code reviews, pair programming, and regular one-on-one meetings
- Promote best practices in software development, architecture, and DevOps within your team
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies
