About the role
Role Overview The Lead Sales Associate supports store operations with a customer-first approach, assisting with merchandise, operating registers, stocking, cleaning, and executing tasks assigned by management. They perform duties of a Sales Associate and act as a leader in the absence of Store or Assistant Store Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers.
- Operate cash registers, handle payments, and assist with merchandise.
- Receive, unpack, stock, and display merchandise following company guidelines.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including trash removal, dusting, mopping, and restroom sanitation.
- Support planogram implementation and store opening/closing procedures.
- Perform managerial duties in the absence of supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety policies, cash handling, and merchandise presentation.
- Ability to perform basic math and operate cash registers.
- Capability to drive for bank deposits and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 55 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.
Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and a fast-paced environment.
- Occasional travel for banking, management meetings, or store visits.
