About This Role
This warehouse associate position involves picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment within a dynamic fulfillment center. The role requires precision and energy to drive the seamless movement of goods while maintaining a safe and organized environment. It offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse operations and heavy equipment handling in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate various warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Use barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Manage inventory through stock replenishment, stock counting, and updating inventory management systems to ensure accuracy
- Prepare packages for shipping by packing items securely, labeling correctly, and ensuring quality control standards are met
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound/outbound shipments against documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by following safety procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and performing manual handling tasks as needed
- Repeatedly lift up to 75lbs
- Work in a facility that is not climate controlled
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution center
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is advantageous
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, or pallet jacks is highly desirable; certification is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to warehouse operations including PPE use and heavy lifting techniques
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Previous experience in order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, or inventory management systems
