About This Role
This engineering role is for a developer with strong front-end skills in Angular, React, and Next.js, combined with backend experience in Java Spring Boot and Python FastAPI. The position involves working with Power BI semantic data models and integrating Azure OpenAI for in-application AI agents and RAG-based solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in full stack development
- Proven expertise in Power BI semantic data models, specifically in connecting and integrating semantic models with multiple heterogeneous data sources (databases, APIs, cloud data warehouses, flat files, etc.), along with DAX, Power Query (M), relationship management, and model performance optimization
- Strong proficiency in front-end development using Angular, React, and Next.js, along with solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, responsive design, and state management libraries (Redux, NgRx, Context API)
- Strong backend development experience with Java Spring Boot (building scalable REST APIs and microservices) and Python FastAPI (building high-performance services), along with database design skills (SQL/NoSQL) and ORM frameworks
- Hands-on experience integrating Azure OpenAI as an in-application AI agent/chatbot to handle application-specific queries including prompt engineering, context/grounding with application data, API integration, and conversational flow design
- Experience with Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Cognitive Search, or similar) for building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based solutions, embedding models, and vector search for contextual Q&A within applications
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, multi-source data integration, Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus), microservices architecture, and containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and deliver end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced environment
