About This Role
This engineering role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly websites and web applications. The ideal candidate will translate design concepts into functional interfaces, ensuring excellent performance, accessibility, and a seamless user experience across different devices and browsers.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive and interactive website interfaces using modern front-end technologies
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Implement user interface designs and prototypes into functional web pages
- Work with frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Ensure websites are optimized for speed, performance, and mobile responsiveness
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and project managers
- Integrate front-end components with APIs and back-end services
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve website bugs and technical issues
- Test websites across different browsers and devices to ensure compatibility
- Maintain and update existing websites and web applications
- Apply web accessibility and security best practices
- Use version control systems such as Git to manage code changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, HND, or relevant certification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Familiarity with responsive web design and mobile-first development
- Knowledge of API integration and asynchronous programming
- Experience using Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab
- Understanding of website performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
- A portfolio of completed websites or web applications is an added advantage
