Developing the frontend components for responsive web applications and websites is the core of this role, which involves writing efficient, clean, and high-performance code. The position suits a developer who is independent, curious, and eager to engage with the business while continuously developing their skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop the frontend components for responsive web applications and websites
- Write efficient, clean, maintainable, high-performance code
- Help designers, backend developers, and business teams to build web applications
- Understand and clarify business requirements and analyze existing systems to develop the best solutions
- Contribute to SEB open source components
- Engage the business and continuously develop skills through curiosity
- Contribute to the Opensource Community whenever possible
- Work in a cross-functional, agile team with colleagues located in Europe and Kuala Lumpur
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and possess self-motivation to remain current in application development practices and technology industry standards
Requirements
- Strong experience building web applications using the latest versions of TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React or Angular
- Practical experience with responsive and/or adaptive UI design
- Proficient in ensuring cross-browser compatibility
- Good understanding of semantic HTML and web accessibility best practices
- Good understanding of RESTful web services and how to integrate them into front-end applications
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- A self-starter with minimal supervision

- Education: Bachelor
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of CSS pre-processors and state management tools such as React Context, RxJS
- Working knowledge of code bundling, task runners and package management
- Familiar with any of the popular JavaScript testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Karma
- Ability to translate design compositions into clean, semantic, and standard-compliant applications
- Understanding of Design Principles, Information Architecture, User Interface (UI) and Visual Design
- Familiarity with design collaboration tools such as Figma
