This role focuses on building a robust, user-friendly web platform that streamlines the process of finding and engaging qualified professionals in the fire protection sector. The ideal candidate will play a key part in shaping the digital infrastructure of this industry-specific service, ensuring seamless remote access and a high-quality user experience.
Deliverables
- Design and develop a responsive web platform tailored for the fire protection industry
- Implement secure user authentication and verification processes for contractors
- Build intuitive search and filtering features for property managers to find contractors
- Integrate location-based services and remote access capabilities for users across Canada
- Ensure the platform is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver iterative improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience in web development, preferably with directory or marketplace platforms
- Proficiency in modern web technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks)
- Experience with backend development (Node.js, Python, or similar) and database management
- Strong understanding of user authentication, security best practices, and data privacy
- Ability to implement responsive design for optimal performance on all devices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Based in Canada or able to work effectively with Canadian time zones
