Deliverables
- Design a cohesive collection of maternity, nursing, and babywear garments
- Develop detailed sketches, technical drawings, and fabric specifications
- Source and recommend breathable, high-quality fabrics suitable for sensitive skin
- Incorporate practical features such as nursing access, adjustable fits, and easy-care elements
- Present mood boards and concept proposals for review and feedback
- Collaborate with pattern makers and sample producers to ensure design integrity
- Revise designs based on feedback and production requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in fashion design, ideally with a focus on maternity, nursing, or babywear
- Strong portfolio demonstrating original concepts and technical proficiency
- Knowledge of fabric properties, especially breathable and hypoallergenic materials
- Ability to translate functional needs into elegant, wearable designs
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented, creative, and able to work independently to deadlines
