Fraud Analyst

About This Role

Working as a Fraud and Payments Analyst, you will monitor identity verification, payment activity, and unusual winning patterns to detect and prevent fraud across the company's platform. This hands-on entry point into compliance involves using KYC tools and risk platforms to flag suspicious behavior, investigate potentially fraudulent accounts, and help protect the integrity of the payment ecosystem. The role works on a rotating shift schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive investigations into high-threshold withdrawals, manually cross-referencing player betting history, deposit methods, and turnover velocity
• Review user identity verification to confirm accurate KYC compliance and flag anomalies
• Monitor SEON alerts for signs of account takeover, synthetic or stolen identities, and bot activity
• Watch transaction patterns across payment processors to prevent chargebacks and identify stolen funds, payment structuring, and other high-risk behavior
• Identify behavioral indicators of problem gambling, apply cooling-off and self-exclusion controls, and route affected players to the appropriate support pathway
• Conduct preliminary fraud investigations and escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Director of Fraud and the Compliance Senior Manager
• Use compliance dashboards and internal tools to log, track, and resolve flagged activity, keeping records that hold up to regulator and licensing review
• Verify that wins from high-rollers and large wallets are legitimate, and review internal colleague activity for policy adherence
• Work closely with Support and Legal to resolve issues tied to user accounts, payments, and policy violations
• Follow internal workflows and response protocols so fraud prevention stays consistent and defensible
• Stay current on fraud trends, emerging scam tactics, evolving risk signals, and changes to gaming

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in iGaming, sports betting, fintech, payments or crypto
• C1 English proficiency required
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working through repetitive review queues without losing accuracy
• Sound judgment under ambiguity — knowing when to act and when to escalate
• Clear written communication for case notes and escalations
• Discretion with sensitive user data and confidential investigations
• Availability to work a rotating schedule that includes evenings and weekends
• Comfort with spreadsheets and web-based admin tools
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly master unfamiliar software, apps, and internal systems
