Fraud Analyst

About This Role

The Fraud Analyst manages card-related disputes and chargebacks, ensuring timely resolution of both fraud and non-fraud cases. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and effective written communication for chat-based customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Handle disputes and chargebacks, including fraud and non-fraud card transactions, in compliance with internal and external regulations
• Manage case investigations using Visa's VROL (Visa Resolve Online) platform
• Analyze chargeback data and trends to identify potential fraud patterns
• Communicate effectively with customers via chat to resolve queries and disputes promptly
• Make informed, time-sensitive decisions to minimize financial loss and customer dissatisfaction
• Conduct research and validate transaction data with attention to detail and critical judgment
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance dispute resolution processes and improve fraud detection strategies

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in disputes and chargebacks
• Proven background in handling card disputes (fraud and non-fraud)
• Hands-on experience with Visa's VROL system (preferred)
• Prior experience in chat-based customer support
• Strong written communication and customer-handling skills
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities
• Sharp attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure
• Proficient computer literacy and internet research capabilities
