Fraud Analyst

About This Role

Detecting and investigating suspicious financial activities is at the heart of this role, which involves analyzing transactions and account behavior to identify potential fraud. The position suits an analyst with experience in fraud detection and investigations across various payment channels.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial transactions and account activity to detect unusual or suspicious patterns
• Perform end-to-end fraud investigations, gathering and evaluating evidence
• Conduct 360 reviews on alerts triggered due to threshold breaches across fraud types such as ATO, PTO, TOA, Identity Theft, First Party Fraud, etc.
• Investigate fraud across multiple channels including P2P payments, ACH, wire transfers, check fraud, and account takeovers
• Handle cases related to account hijacking, transactional fraud, funds transfers, and whistleblower complaints
• Perform real-time fraud risk assessment for credit cards, loans, and digital payment platforms
• Analyze data trends and out-of-pattern activities to decide case outcomes (closure, escalation, reimbursement)
• Apply fraud mitigation strategies in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for complete alert lifecycle management, including escalation and reporting

Requirements

• Experience in Fraud Detection & Investigations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of fraud types: ATO, Identity Theft, Payment Fraud, etc.
• Ability to perform detailed case investigations and documentation
