About This Role
Framing is a vital role in transforming architectural plans into sturdy, precise structures by constructing the framework for buildings and other structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, from residential remodels to large commercial developments, contributing directly to the creation of durable and reliable structures.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and accurately follow construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to assemble frameworks according to specifications
- Erect metal buildings, metal stud framing, wood framing, and other structural components with precision
- Install rebar and prepare concrete forms for pouring foundations, walls, and other structural elements
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, measuring, fastening, and assembly tasks
- Perform drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, siding, roofing, and trim carpentry as needed for finishing touches
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning large structural components
- Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other tools; perform dimensional measurements to ensure alignment and quality control
- Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings to guide construction activities efficiently
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining safety standards
- Assist with restoration or remodeling projects by dismantling existing structures or updating frameworks as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in metal building erection, concrete forming, framing carpentry, or related construction roles
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for accurate assembly
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and measuring devices such as tape measures
- Familiarity with masonry work including rebar installation and concrete finishing techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics
- Construction site experience across various environments—residential, commercial or industrial—demonstrating adaptability
- Basic math skills necessary for accurate measurements and calculations related to framing projects
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to working at heights, operating machinery, and handling materials responsibly
