Founding CPA & Head of Tax

This entrepreneurial role combines hands-on technical leadership with practice building, helping to establish and lead the company's Canadian tax practice. It suits an experienced CPA who will define professional standards, review processes, service delivery, hiring, and the long-term direction of the tax organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead Canadian personal and corporate tax services
• Guide tax planning, T1/T2 work, GST/HST, CRA matters, reorganizations, and technical review
• Establish professional policies, quality-control processes, and client engagement standards
• Help recruit and develop future tax professionals
• Contribute to Cavait's strategy, service expansion, and long-term practice development

Requirements

• CPA designation in good standing with the applicable provincial CPA body
• Strong Canadian tax experience
• Experience with privately held or owner-managed businesses is particularly valuable
