Forklift Operator

About This Role

A forklift operator who works carefully and keeps a tidy warehouse will fit well in the logistics team. This position involves operating a forklift on both paved and unpaved surfaces within a fast-paced, covered and uncovered manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks
• Pull product from manufacturing line and transport materials to designated area
• Operate both fork truck and clamper truck (training will be provided on clamper)
• Organize the yard and manage inventory
• Perform quality control including count verification, packaging, and product characteristics (height, color, shape, etc., training will be provided)
• Utilize a tablet for all inventory and loading purposes
• Perform plant clean-up
• Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operating a forklift to load and unload materials in a manufacturing/retail distribution environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to follow company production and safety procedures
• Ability to pass internal certification training
• Willing to work flexible schedules/overtime as required
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. from ground level
• Able to work in a dusty environment
