About the role
We’re recruiting a Forklift Mechanic for a busy materials‑handling workshop in Whanganui. Straightforward role: diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and small plant for a steady client base.
What you’ll handle:
- Servicing & repairs on LPG, diesel and electric forklifts
- Hydraulics troubleshooting and mast repairs
- Electrical fault‑finding
- Preventative maintenance and safety checks
What we need:
- Solid mechanical background (forklifts, heavy plant, or automotive)
- Hydraulics experience a big advantage
- Reliable, tidy, and confident working solo or in a small team
