Arcosa Traffic Structures is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator. In this role you’ll operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks and/or yard vehicles to move materials and products between receiving and storage locations. As well as, utilize computer software to identify materials/goods, ensure accuracy of purchase orders and maintain inventory.
Location: Sumterville, FL
What you’ll do:
- Operates 8,000-30,000-pound lift truck and boom lifts
- Operates overhead crane on production line
- Receives and records stock receipts in ERP system
- Maintains inventory records and participates in audits for inventory accuracy
- Pulls materials as requested or in accordance with production schedule and performs material issue transactions in ERP system.
- Facilitates communication of inventory to maintain stock levels
- Builds and packages parts or subassembly kits
- Accounts for all materials and supplies in the store’s facilities
- Communicate with inside & outside drivers, checking loads in & out
- Audits goods received into warehouse
- Maintain and improve quality
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Fill-in as needed so that production goals can be met
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of experience as a Mobile Equipment Operator
- 2 years of experience maintaining inventory
- Experience with ERP Systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Steel yard experience is preferred
Working Conditions:
- Hourly full-time position
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
