About the role
Duties
60% - Performs a variety of tasks relating to preparation and service of items specific to Ed Debevic’s, Gino’s Pizza and Pepe’s Mexican. Assembles items according to recipe specifications and measures and weighs ingredients according to recipes or as directed by Food Service Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Club Manager. Places cooked food in serving area for pick up by food service worker. In the absence of food service worker, may have to serve food to the patrons.
25% - Keeps refrigerators, grills, equipment, cooking utensils and working area clean. Leaves these areas clean and sanitary at the end of the shift. This includes sweeping, mopping and sanitizing all surfaces, floors, refrigerators and cooking equipment. Is involved in routine and periodic deep cleaning. May be required to clean dining area and food serving line. Takes refrigerator temperature readings and enters in temperature logs.
10% - Assures that all refrigerators and cupboards for food storage are locked upon securing galley. May assist in inventory taking.
5% - May be required to collect money, operate a cash register, and prepare necessary documentation for cash refunds accountability. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Must be able to follow recipes and combine ingredients for plain and fancy salads and other cooked dishes. Required to lift up to 45 pounds, Constant standing and walking. Pushing carts loaded with supplies, dishes, etc. Exposure to extreme temperatures due to steam and heat from cooking, dishwashing, and walk-in refrigerator. Working area is subject to noise. Exposure to minor cuts, bruises and burns. Ability to satisfactorily complete background check which includes National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
