Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation are top-notch
- Serve food and beverages to guests with friendly, attentive in-person customer service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, dishwashers, and POS (Point of Sale) systems for processing cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, dining areas, and adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food handling, portioning, and basic food preparation tasks to support kitchen operations
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Handle weight-based tasks such as portion control and inventory checks with accuracy and care
Requirements
- Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling safety standards, and sanitizing procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person
- Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory management, and portioning tasks
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and handle manual tasks involved in food service operations
Nice to have:
- Experience with wine knowledge or beverage service
- Familiarity with banquet or catering experience
- Prior culinary or dietary aide experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
