Food Service Worker

About This Role

This full-time Food Service Worker role involves assisting with front-of-house operations, including serving and helping customers, light food preparation, and maintaining clean dining areas. The position also includes teamwork on dishwashing and trash removal, and requires exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Run the point of sale system and assist customers as needed
• Set up and restock product, displays, coolers, and workstations
• Perform light food prep, including baking cookies and preparing salad bar and grab-and-go items
• Wash, peel, and cut various fruits and vegetables for the salad bar
• Prepare and replenish the salad bar
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks or carts
• Wash dishes, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
• Remove and store trash in appropriate containers
• Ensure customers are taken care of and the department looks clean and presentable at all times
• Provide excellent customer service, including being attentive, approachable, greeting, and thanking customers
• Work with and take direction from the Chef Manager

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous food/customer service experience, preferably within a corporate dining setting
• Must be dependable and have excellent customer service skills
• Ability to pull and lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player
