Full-Time | Onsite | Mon-Fri | $78k-$88k starting salary
Our client is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support workplace safety, employee training, compliance, and quality initiatives within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. This role will partner with operations leadership to maintain safety programs, coordinate training, support audits, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and ongoing employee training.
- Support workplace safety, food safety, and compliance programs.
- Maintain HACCP, GMP, Food Defense, and related documentation.
- Assist with third-party, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Track corrective actions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct process and quality audits, identify gaps, and assist with retraining.
- Maintain training records and compliance reporting metrics.
- Participate in Safety Committee activities and safety awareness campaigns.
- Collaborate with managers to develop SOPs, training materials, and best practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
- Experience supporting safety, training, quality, or compliance programs.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HACCP, GMP, FDA, or related regulations preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems (WMS/TMS experience a plus).
- Lean or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
