Food and Beverage Manager

About This Role

Directing the food and beverage department and supervising its team is the core of this management role, which also involves strategic support for the General Manager. It suits a candidate with strong customer service and communication skills, who can provide training and support to junior employees.

Responsibilities

• Run the Food & Beverage department, including supervising the team
• Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Recruit, manage, train, and develop the Food & Beverage team
• Evaluate guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement
• Support the General Manager in the strategic running of the restaurant
• Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well-managed schedules
• Prepare weekly rosters
• Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, policies, and procedures
• Maintain good communication and work relationships in all restaurant areas and with external customers and suppliers
• Carry out DM shifts when required
• Assist other departments wherever necessary

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years

experience as a Food & Beverage Manager/Supervisor

• Strong customer and guest service
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to provide training and support to junior employees
• Flexibility in hours
• Hospitality management: 2 years (Preferred)
• Food industry: 2 years (required)
• English (required)
• Reliably commute or plan to relocate to Limerick, County Limerick before starting work (required)
