About This Role
This Food and Beverage Manager role involves overseeing all daily operations for a Topgolf Swing Suites location, ensuring guest satisfaction, and managing both front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The position suits an experienced and dynamic leader with a strong background in the food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities
- Ensure guest satisfaction and create a positive, upbeat atmosphere for guests and associates
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Account for Food & Beverage Inventory, Ordering and Receiving (includes liquor, beer, wine and food)
- Audit inventory levels to ensure product availability, and order products as necessary
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
- Prepare weekly schedules for bartender, barback and server staff to adequately cover all shifts
- Provide for coverage in case of employee absence and adjust staffing as necessary to meet business demands
- Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure quality of product served
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Ensure readiness for internal and external audits such as: Alcohol Awareness, Food Safety / Sanitation, Health Inspection, Safety Training/Certification, etc.
- Manage the restaurant
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
- Perform opening and closing tasks such as checklist completion, cash handling and deposits
Requirements
- 3+ years of restaurant management experience
- Experience managing FOH and BOH teams, including Bar/Beverage program oversight and knowledge
- Legally able to serve alcohol
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Ability to work independently, as well as lead, manage, and motivate a team
- Dependable and reliable
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and stay cool under pressure
- Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance
- Competency in resource management and inventory control
- Customer service orientation
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, personnel management and marketing
