Food and Beverage Manager

About This Role

Directing the dining services and hospitality operations for a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is the core of this management role. The Food and Beverage Manager leads a team to provide excellent dining experiences for residents, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in all services.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all food and beverage operations within the community, including dining rooms, catering, and special events
• Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional standards and cater to residents' preferences and dietary restrictions
• Supervise and train staff, including servers, cooks, and other hospitality personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to meet budgetary goals
• Collaborate with healthcare and activity teams to enhance residents' dining experiences and overall satisfaction
• Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing resident concerns promptly and professionally
• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations to promote continuous improvement

Requirements

• Proven experience in food and beverage management, preferably within senior living or healthcare settings
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Ability to develop menus and manage food costs effectively
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Flexibility to adapt to residents' needs and community requirements
