Duties

• Measure, cut, and prepare flooring materials using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise installation.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and floor plans to accurately execute installation projects.
• Install various flooring types such as tile laying, hardwood, laminate, vinyl planks, and carpet with attention to detail.
• Perform surface preparation including leveling, water damage restoration, concrete finishing, and floor care to create optimal installation conditions.
• Use caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and cabinet installation techniques to finish projects professionally.
• Conduct restoration work involving water damage repair and industry-specific restoration processes to maintain high standards.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of construction estimating.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and using hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices and experience working on various construction sites.
• Familiarity with restoration industry procedures including water damage restoration and floor care techniques.
• Ability to perform trim carpentry, caulking, fixture installation, cabinetry work, and remodeling tasks as needed.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and schematics accurately.
• Prior handyman experience or construction painting background is a plus for versatility in project scope.
