About This Role
Installing, repairing, and replacing various types of flooring in residential and commercial properties is the core of this job. This role suits a skilled and dependable Floor Installer with strong attention to detail who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Measure and inspect work areas to determine flooring requirements
- Prepare floors by removing old flooring, cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces
- Install various flooring materials, including vinyl, laminate, hardwood, tile, and carpet
- Cut and fit flooring materials accurately around walls, corners, doors, and other obstacles
- Install baseboards, trim, transitions, and other finishing materials as needed
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Inspect completed installations to ensure quality and proper fit
- Repair or replace damaged flooring when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow company safety procedures and job-site requirements
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members
Requirements
- Previous flooring installation experience preferred
- Knowledge of flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read measurements and follow installation plans
- Good attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to use common hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required
- Ability to lift, carry, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
Nice to have:
- Experience with hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, tile, or carpet installation
- Experience with floor preparation and leveling
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot installation problems and complete projects efficiently

- Work Environment: This position may involve working in residential and commercial construction sites and requires physical activity, including lifting flooring materials, kneeling, bending, standing, and working with tools
