About This Role
Flooring installers work on residential and commercial projects, installing various materials with precision and attention to detail. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install various types of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to determine layout and installation requirements
- Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayment
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fitting flooring materials
- Perform caulking and finishing touches to ensure a polished final product
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction fields
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to flooring work
- Knowledge of hardwood and tile laying techniques and carpentry skills is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective project execution
- Previous maintenance person experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flooring installation experience: 1 year (preferred)
- English (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
