Night Duty Officer (Ex-Serviceman Preferred)

Position - Night Duty Officer / Floor Discipline Manager

Location Bangalore

Experience- 3+ years

Reporting To - Operations Manager / Delivery Manager

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for a retired Armed Forces Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO)/Subedar or

equivalent with strong leadership, discipline, and supervisory experience. The ideal

candidate should be capable of maintaining a professional work environment during night

operations while coordinating with management on any operational issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Floor Discipline & Professional Conduct
  • Maintain discipline and decorum across the operations floor throughout the shift.
  • Ensure employees remain focused on work and follow organizational policies.
  • Discourage prolonged personal mobile phone usage during working hours.
  • Prevent unnecessary gatherings or extended conversations that disrupt productivity.
  • Ensure a quiet, professional, and productive working environment.
  1. Operations Monitoring
  • Maintain awareness of the live deals being processed during the shift.
  • Understand which team members are assigned to each deal.
  • Monitor the progress and turnaround time for key deliverables.
  • Follow up with team members where delays are observed and ensure timely

completion of assigned work.

  1. Incident Management & Escalation
  • Immediately escalate any serious operational, security, or employee-related issue to

the designated managers.

  • Ensure prompt reporting of any incidents that may impact business continuity or

employee safety.

  • Coordinate with security, facilities, and management whenever required.

  • Take appropriate preventive actions to avoid any untoward incidents during the shift.

  1. Shift Oversight
  • Perform regular walkthroughs of the operations floor during the shift.
  • Maintain a visible supervisory presence to encourage discipline and accountability.
  • Record major observations, delays, incidents, and escalations in a shift log for

management review.

  • Provide a concise handover at the end of the shift, highlighting completed work,

pending items, and any incidents.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Retired Army JCO/Subedar (preferred) or equivalent from the Armed

Forces/Paramilitary.

  • Prior experience supervising teams or managing operations in a disciplined

environment.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment during critical situations.
  • Comfortable working permanent night shifts.
