Flight Simulator Instructor

About This Role

Working within the Aviation Department, this flexible position involves overseeing flight simulator portions of aviation flight training courses and curriculum. The core of the role is conducting simulator instruction, primarily one-on-one but occasionally with up to four students. The instructor will monitor student progress and identify areas for curriculum improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct simulator instruction and teach students
• Review flight curriculum and areas of strengths/weaknesses, communicating findings with the flight instructor team
• Observe trends in student progress
• Contribute to overall program improvement, benefiting students and enhancing flight instructor techniques
• Assist with new program development, including creating scenarios and content for students to experience advanced two-crew operations
• Interact with external aviation industry partners to gather input on curriculum improvements
• Assist with simulator maintenance and creating/updating simulator operating guides

Requirements

• Two-Year Diploma from a University or Equivalent
• A minimum of a Commercial Pilot Licence and Group 1 Instrument Rating
• 3 - 5 years of piloting, simulator, and/or instructing experience in the aviation industry

Important Details

• Schedule: variable, not less than three hours per shift and up to thirty-five hours per week; work hours will fluctuate based on demand, daily operations from 07:30 - 00:30
