About the role
Role Overview: This position involves supporting cost segregation and fixed asset analyses for various projects, including construction, real estate, and renewable energy initiatives. You will analyze construction data, review technical documentation, conduct site visits, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate asset classification and tax treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analyses of construction costs, general ledger data, and drawings to identify asset classifications.
- Conduct site visits to assess building components and validate cost assumptions.
- Prepare detailed reports, depreciation analyses, and supporting documentation for clients.
- Identify opportunities for tax exemptions and contribute to process improvements using automation tools.
- For Senior Associates, lead engagement segments, oversee analyses, and review work of junior team members.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of one year (Associate) or two years (Senior Associate) experience in engineering, cost segregation, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or similar.
- Understanding of construction processes, building systems, and tax depreciation principles.
- Proficiency in Excel, data management tools (Power Query, Power BI, Tableau), and scripting languages (SQL, Python, R).
- Strong analytical, technical review, and collaboration skills.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
