Fitness Trainer

About This Role

This role is suited for recent Group, PT or Exercise science students looking for an opportunity to gain experience and grow, or for experienced Personal Trainers seeking a change within a group environment. The Fitness Trainer will lead small group exercise classes for men and women over 40, focusing on delivering results and developing business and professional skills.

Responsibilities

• Have a fun, positive, and can-do attitude
• Be committed to delivering results for clients consistently over time
• Work together to define how the role will grow with you
• Lead small group exercise classes (with a maximum of 16 people per class) for men and women over 40
• Develop business and professional skills to complement coaching
• Grow and further develop your career with personal development
• Run group training sessions
• Participate in annual events
• Keep clients accountable in regular challenges
• Contribute to customer retention
• Potentially build a personal training client base without paying rent

Requirements

• Enthusiasm and a genuine passion for health and fitness
• A high level of care in helping people to improve their health
• Cert III or IV in Fitness
• First Aid and CPR certificate
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Local resident looking for a long-term career path
• No short-term workers

Important Details

• Schedule: Initially 6 to 10 hours per week, with opportunity to increase hours
• Expected hours: 6.0 – 12.0 per week
