A nationally recognized plaintiff-side medical malpractice practice is expanding due to significant growth and seeking an experienced trial attorney to help lead a newly created litigation team. The practice focuses exclusively on catastrophic birth injury litigation and has achieved multiple seven-figure outcomes on behalf of clients.

Responsibilities
- Serve as first-chair trial counsel in birth injury litigation matters
- Develop case strategy and oversee all phases of litigation
- Prepare and defend expert and fact witness depositions
- Manage settlement negotiations and trial preparation
- Supervise and mentor supporting attorneys and staff
- Travel as necessary for litigation and trial assignments
Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience
- Significant first-chair birth injury trial experience required
- Ability to independently manage complex medical malpractice cases
- Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom skills
- Active bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $200,000+
- Performance bonuses tied directly to case results

Location
This position is based in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC.
Hybrid flexibility is available, but attorneys are expected to maintain a regular in-office presence. This is not a fully remote role.
