Firmware Engineer

About This Role

This engineering role involves firmware development for capacitive touch products, including controllers and touch libraries, used across consumer, industrial, and automotive applications. The position is ideal for a C programmer with embedded experience who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Be strong in C programming in an embedded environment
• Work in-depth with microcontroller peripherals
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Be self-motivated and work in a collaborative group environment
• Reach out to different stakeholders to solve problems as situations demand
• Work as an individual contributor and capable of leading a team or project as required
• Adhere to standards, guidelines, and best practices for design and development
• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in ECE with 2 to 7+ years of experience in the embedded domain

Requirements

• Develop C and Assembly applications for 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers
• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering
• 2 -3 years of relevant industry experience in firmware design and development
• Firmware architecture, design, coding experience with firmware-hardware co-development
• Knowledge on DMA, ADC, I2C, SPI peripheral
• Work with multi-site cross-functional teams
• Lead efforts towards development of an assigned project module and deliver on committed timelines
• Familiarity with Jenkins and basic CI/CD concepts
• Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and frontend test automation

Nice to have:

• Knowledge/experience in MPLAB or Harmony and ARM tool chains
• Experience with Capacitive touch
• Knowledge on CMSIS, ISO26262, CLASS-B
• Automation framework experience
