Role Description
The Fire Consultancy Contractor role is engaged on a contract basis. The contractor will conduct fire risk assessments on our clients’ premises, providing clear, actionable recommendations aligned with the PAS-79 format.
We work on a basis that you tell us when you are available and our dedicated booking team will take care of the rest — you get the support of a big organisation with the flexibility of doing your own work and commitments.

Qualifications
- Professional experience in fire consultancy, fire engineering, or fire safety management, with a strong understanding of relevant UK and European regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in conducting fire risk assessments, audits, and inspections, including preparing structured technical reports and recommendations.
- Ability to interpret building codes, fire safety legislation, and industry guidance, and apply them to complex premises and operational environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualification in fire engineering, fire safety, building services, health and safety, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., fire risk assessment or safety membership) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently on-site, manage multiple consultancy assignments, and meet agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments, especially in designing or reviewing fire strategies and evacuation plans, is beneficial.
- Valid right to work and willingness to travel to client locations as required.
