Financial Systems Manager

About This Role

This Specialist Manager role drives the operation, enhancement, and integration of finance-led systems, managing a portfolio of finance systems as a subject matter expert. The role involves executing enhancement backlogs, translating business requirements for technology teams, managing Program Increment (PI) execution, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), and supporting change management. After release, the manager monitors system performance, resolves defects, tracks governance, and provides PMO oversight, acting as a liaison between Information Technology and Finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate multiple business strategies into clear requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring shared understanding across product, engineering, architecture, and testing teams
• Manage the execution and timeline of system changes, escalating issues and risks to leadership as needed
• Support finance transformation initiatives by managing issue triage, coordinating across workstreams, and helping teams navigate dependencies, risks, and implementation decisions
• Manage the operations and maintenance of financial systems, and oversee manual and automated financial work processes, systems, and procedures to ensure workflow efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain a working understanding of integrations across the system portfolio and their impact on business processes and data
• Identify and recommend process improvements across technical and functional workstreams
• Provide insight on system upgrades and redesigns, ensuring integration alignment
• Oversee the accuracy of financial data across systems
• Oversee the resolution of application, data integrity, and other production issues
• Oversee and coordinate testing of financial system enhancements and deployments with the testing team
• Provide content and review support for the change management team
• Manage a team of direct and indirect reports in the US and India

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field
• Professional with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in Engagement Management, Pricing, Forecasting, Procure to Pay, Financial Accounting, and other supporting finance areas
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Medium travel required

Nice to have:

• Prior experience at a professional services firm
• Master's degree
• CPA, CMA, or other relevant accounting or finance certification
• Familiarity with financial data governance, master data integrity, and control considerations within ERP environments
• Understanding of the RISE with SAP platform
• Experience with software deployment and delivery methodologies such as Lean and SAFe Agile
