Job Title: Financial Spreading (CRE/ C&I) - Associate, Pune
Location: Pune (Hybrid)
Work hours: 11am to 8pm IST
Department: Lending Services (Banking)
Experience Level : 3-5 years
0-2 months' notice candidates preferred due to business need
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing and spreading the financial statements on various financial platforms
- Analysis of financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement of public and private companies for the credit appraisal process
- Knowledge of Property Operating Statements, Budget / Proforma statements, Tax Returns, Audited Annual statements
- Going through the supplementary schedules of Annual report, notes, Budget, QSR reports, and MD&A for the detailed breakups and adjustments
- Normalizing the financial statements for exceptional and non-recurring items to arrive at the true profitability figures
- Knowledge of U.S. Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry across property types - Multifamily, Affordable Housing, Office, Retail, Industrial, etc.
- Calculating the Adjusted Net Worth, Recurring Cash Flows, Annual Debt Service, Contingent Liabilities, custom ratios and other financial metrics
- Monitor Covenant compliance and reporting
- Support with project scoping, end-to-end workflow management, MIS reporting, etc. Responsible for adherence to client SLAs and Policies
- Identify ways for improvement in efficiency gains and process improvement
- Regular communication with the client to ensure the expectations are met
Key Competencies
- MBA (Finance) / MCom / CA (CPA equivalent) / CFA
- Experience of 2-5 years in spreading and covenant monitoring
- Strong understanding of credit principles, policies, and regulations
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal to take client calls on regular basis
- Exceptional organizational skills, including multi-task capability, priority setting and meeting deadlines
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively leverage networks to mobilize resources
- Experience of working for a US based bank will be an added advantage
